The deeper read
What have you actually lived?
A questionnaire tells us how you see yourself. These ask what you've done. A pattern you've lived — and paid for — is far stronger evidence than one you agreed with. Answer honestly; the ones you say yes to carry more weight in your read.
1. Have you ever significantly increased a position after it had been winning, then gotten hurt when it turned?
2. Have you ever scaled up fast after one success — before the people, controls, or systems were actually ready?
3. Have you ever sold a sound long-term holding to chase a newer, more exciting idea — and the original later did well?
4. Have you ever jumped into something because it seemed like a hidden gem others had missed, and it turned out more complicated than it looked?
5. Have you ever bailed out during a downturn and regretted it once it recovered?
6. Have you ever paused or pulled from long-term savings for something you wanted in the moment?
7. Have you ever bought or sold mainly because everyone around you was?
8. Have you ever walked away from a good investment mostly because owning it became more of a hassle than you expected?
9. Have you lived through a market crash or a big downturn with your own money on the line?
10. Have you ever started or run a business, or bet meaningfully on your own venture?
11. Have you ever carried debt heavy enough that it weighed on how you slept or decided?
12. Have you ever taken a real financial hit — and had to decide how to come back from it?
